Consistently ranked a top national university by U.S. News & World Report, Loyola University Chicago is one of the largest Jesuit Catholic universities in the United States with total enrollment of 15,194 students from 50 states and 82 foreign countries.
Loyola offers a total of 185 programs of study'69 undergraduate, 77 graduate, 36 doctoral and three professional programs. Located off North Michigan Avenue, Chicago's Magnificent Mile, Loyola's dynamic Water Tower Campus is home to the schools of Business Administration, Continuing and Professional Studies, Education, Law and Social Work, and connects students to the heart of the city for myriad internship, job and service opportunities.
Loyola's Lake Shore Campus, home to the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School and the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, is located on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan and offers students a traditional residential campus. Students may attend Loyola's John Felice Rome Center in Italy, The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies or one of 60 other study abroad programs in 29 countries.
Loyola's student/faculty ratio of 13-to-1, well below the national average of 19-to-1, ensures personal attention. Nearly all of Loyola's 940 full-time faculty members hold Ph.D.s, and they are routinely called upon as experts in their fields.
Loyola students annually receive more than $180 million in financial assistance from numerous sources. Students gain practical experience, leadership, organizational and life skills by participating in internships, engaging in service opportunities and joining any of the school's 125 academic, social, cultural or professional student organizations. |
